Jackie Helm LPC
Jackie received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and her Undergraduate degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works great with kids and teens. She specializes in LGBTQ competencies and works with adults presenting with a variety of concerns. Jackie utilizes a variety of techniques including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person Centered Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Jackie has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various diagnoses. Her professional journey includes roles as a school-based counselor, Direct Support Staff in group homes, Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and Outpatient Therapist. She has also specialized in supporting clients navigating gender identity or experiencing gender dysphoria.

It is Jackie's hope that each session ends with her clients feeling a sense of purpose, a feeling of understanding, and validation for what they are feeling. She also hopes that clients recognize their inner strengths and help them bring that out in their every day life (and their response to stressors).
